Bicycles and accessories for touring

A few sites* to help you make the right choices to get the most out of bicycle touring: Arkel OverDesigns - panniers for touring and commuting Bruce Gordon - American-made hand built touring bicycles. Cannondale* - "T2000" and "T800", aluminum touring bikes made in the USA. Cramerotti* - "Tour D'" (CrMo) and "Woodland T" (Titanium) touring bikes with Italian hand made framesets. Devinci - "Destination" and "Caribou", Canadian made aluminum touring bikes. HubBub Custom Bicycles, Cleveland, OH - bicycles, accessories and lots of good information. Mikado* - "Magellan", "D'Iberville", "Radisson", "Cabot" and "De Champlain", Canadian made touring bikes in aluminum or CrMo. Mountain Equipment Coop - cycling clothing, panniers, accessories. Serratus - really tough panniers (and other stuff). Trek* - "Trek 520", CrMo touring bike made in the USA. Be sure also to check out Sheldon Brown's articles on touring, Ken Kifer's bicycle pages and other links to touring information. * I don't know what it is about big-name bicycle manufacturers, but they seem to think we'd rather watch a bunch of inane cartoons than be out riding our bikes. When was the last time a shop owner made you endure a long song and dance and a stupid skit at the entrance?
