Before
you begin, you must:
- have some
teaching experience or training; or
- be an
experienced rider with demonstrable competence.
You need
to meet these CAN-BIKE requirements:
- take and
pass Skills
I course;
- take and
pass Kids CAN-BIKE Seminar;
- receive
a recommendation from an Examiner or Instructor for certification
as Kids CAN-BIKE Festival Instructor on the Course Registry Form with
a statement of your intent to instruct Kids CAN-BIKE Festivals.

Smart Cycling written exam

CAN-BIKE Festival/Course Instructor
Before
you begin, you must:
- have some
teaching experience or training; or
- be an
experienced rider with demonstrable competence.
You need
to meet these CAN-BIKE requirements:
- take and
pass Skills II with an 80% or better mark on written exam, handling
skills, and road tests;
- take and
pass Kids CAN-BIKE Seminar;
- examiner/instructor
recommends certification of Kids CAN-BIKE Course Instructor on the Course
Registry Form with a statement of the candidate's intent to instruct
Kids CAN-BIKE Festivals and Courses.

Course (Cycle Right) written, handling and road exams
It is
recommended that all on-bike courses have a maximum of 8 students per
instructor when riding on the road. Smaller classes of 5 - 7 students
make for better on-road teaching and evaluation.
