National
Examiner status is awarded upon application to the Education Standards
Sub-Committee of the Canadian Cycling Association.
Candidate
prerequisites
- certified
as a Skills II Instructor, and has actively taught Skills II in the
last two years;
- experience
teaching and testing CAN-BIKE skills courses for some time at as many
levels as possible, preferably at level II, but at least at level I;
- recommended
in writing by a regional group of instructors, preferably including
at least one National Examiner; and
- has applied
in writing to the CCA National Office, attention Education Standards
Sub-Committee.
Teaching

- Smart
Cycling and Cycle Right courses (pre-teens);
- Introduction
to Cycling Skills and Skills I courses (teens
and adults)
- Skills
II (adults, 16 and older) for general interest, professional development
or to teach CAN-BIKE courses; and
- Skills
II Instructor Workshop and Refresher Clinics, aimed at adults and those
who wish to teach CAN-BIKE Skills II and above.
