Day 2, Monday

Leaving the Okanagan Valley, we head east from Vernon into the Coldstream valley. By the time we reach Lumby, fruit trees give way to pasture, then to dense forest. The scenic valleys of Coldstream Creek, Bessette Creek and the Shuswap River attract potters, weavers and other artisans. At Cherryville, our overnight stop is the site of a historic gold mining camp.
