Day
8, Sunday
Nelson to Crawford Bay (40 km / 25 mi)
From
Nelson, we follow the north shore of the West Arm of Kootenay Lake, a
meandering road through "cottage country". At Balfour, we take
a ride on the world's longest free ferry crossing to Crawford Bay, home
to many artists and craftspeople. The ride along the east side of Kootenay
lake provides some spectacular views of the Selkirk Mountains.
