Friday, August 1 (Day 8):
Waterton Lakes National Park - Cardston (55 km/34 mi)

Heading east over rolling hills, we enter Cardston, home of the Remington-Alberta Carriage Centre with its collection of antique carriages, coaches, sleighs and other horse-drawn vehicles. The town was founded by Mormon pioneers who arrived by covered wagon to start a new community based on farming. The centrepiece of this town is a massive granite temple. We'll visit these and other historic sites, and have time for cultural highlights such as live theatre.
